PAPER TUBE CARPENTRY

Activity: Learn how to design and create a fairy house -AND- how it can be expanded to make an entire tiny village or castle!

Preparation: Think about what kind of creature will live in the house you make! What kind of house would they have? A water sprite, for example, might have a very different house than a moss troll!

Gather materials and ask a parent for help or permission, if needed.

Materials needed:

  • paper tubes
  • felt or colored paper or paint--or all three!
  • masking tape
  • scissors
  • glue stick
  • fun stuff: glitter, gems, pinecones, feathers...whatever you’ve got! whatever you want!

Don’t forget to find a work space to get messy!

Counselor:This class is taught by the majestic Lady Meg, also known in the Realm as Spwinkle the Fae-who-thinks-she-is-a-unicorn, Aphrodite the Goddess of Love and Gossip, the Hooman Vending Machine, the Dread Pirate Peg Leg Meg, and simply, The Mermaid.

Meg is considered a local expert on tiny roof construction, and has studied classical and post-modern fairy architecture.
