Wand Making

Activity: Are you a mage, witch, wizard, fae or other magical being tired of paying inflated retail prices for a wand? Join me to learn the magical art of wandmaking and save that gold!

Preparation: Think about what style of wand you want! Do you have a character you are making the wand for? How could your wand show the powers or personality of the wielder?

Gather materials and ask a parent for help or permission, if needed.

Materials needed:

• Chopstick, natural stick, or wooden dowel
• Low-temp hot glue gun and plenty of glue sticks
• Paint in desired colors--acrylic craft paint is best, but spray paint will work if they
  are allowed to use it? I also recommend that you have three colors: a dark, a
  light, and a metallic/glitter
• Small beads, gems, or other accessories

Don’t forget to find a work space to get messy!
